Cirque Dreams: Holidaze Worcester Theatre reviews
That concert was excellent!
I was blown away by Jill Scott's unexpected opera performance! It was a pleasant surprise to discover her operatic talent. Artists at a concert always have new things to offer and I learned something new about her. Cirque Dreams performing "fortunate" was a highlight for me, as it's my favorite Maxwell song. The concert was fantastic, especially when Jill Scott, the artist she is, sat among the audience to enjoy Cirque Dreams. The moment when he gave her a shout-out was truly beautiful. These two talented artists made the concert memorable.
Passionate Worship and Unforgettable Experience!
Burning Lights is my favorite music artist of all time, so I couldn't wait to see him in concert. Chris came out on fire for God and worshiped with all his heart. He played many of his new songs but enough of his old favorites that everyone loves - a great balance and mixture of the two. When you combined Louie with Chris, that is an incredible pair of Godly men! Kari Jobe opened for him with humbling worship; her voice is so pure and beautiful. I love his new CD Cirque Dreams. I had seen him at the Passion Conferences before, but never an entire concert dedicated to his music. He had so much passion and energy. And to top it all off, it is always great to hear Louie Giglio bring us the Word. He is such a man of God. So blessed to be a part of this experience as the body of Christ!
Steve Miller should have been the Headliner
"I came to see Steve Miller and was not disappointed. Miller played most of his hits and a few obscure songs, but I knew them all. Sometimes you expect to see old rockers perched in wheelchairs doing their old diddies, but Miller was able to perform. While I like much of the old Cirque Dreams, Cirque Dreams did some of their old numbers to much fanfare but lost the crowd several times when they pulled out something new or unknown. Not sure who created their set, but they need to rework it. Neal Schon was outstanding throughout and blew me away with the Star Spangled Banner solo. Unfortunately, this set looked like it was put together by amateurs. But again, it was played very early in the set and would have been more fitting towards the end."
REO WAS EXCEPTIONAL, FANTASTIC & SIMPLY THE BEST
In my opinion, Cirque Dreams has been providing me with pure enjoyment every time I see them for 30 years. Kevin starts singing with that mesmerizing voice of his and I feel completely entranced in the show and everything they do. Only a few groups really give it their all on stage and deliver every single time. I was also really impressed with .38 Special who opened. They were good, wow, my first time seeing them live. Styx, on the other hand, was kind of disappointing this time around. They didn't play as many of their hits as they usually do, which was a letdown. They generally put on a good live show, but in my opinion, I didn't feel that was the case that night. I have seen them do better. As far as my review goes, they were fair.
